The Fire Table invites you to step away from the everyday and into the slower rhythm of life at Ash Croft (our Pygmy-scaled smallholding). Gather in the softly-lit shelter; a roofed, open-sided space with heating. The air is fresh, so wrap up warmly, but the food, drinks and atmosphere are full of comfort.
Pygmy goats Joan and Dawn add their own gentle mischief, making sure no moment feels too serious as you weave a wreath with foraged greenery. The goats will happily claim the offcuts while you pause for a warming meal of cauldron casserole and fire-baked potatoes. Afterwards, you’ll return to your craft to finish the wreaths then admire then over tea and cake before you carry them home, full of winter cheer.
All dietary requirements can be catered for when mentioned at time of booking. Workshops take place within a sheltered space and will only be cancelled in the most extreme weather. Please dress with the elements in mind: sturdy footwear and practical layers are essential, for although Ash Croft is Pygmy-scaled it still knows big weather and plenty of mud. Each workshop is designed for just four guests, creating a private and unhurried pace, but private groups of up to six can be welcomed on request. Full terms and conditions and private booking information can be found at pyromaniacchef.com.
