Wrexham Holocaust Memorial Day - How can life go on?
Fri 27 January 2017, 10:00 – 12:00 GMT
Remembering all those affected by the holocaust and subsequent genocides throughout the world.
There will be speeches, displays and food samples from around the world where genocides have occured.
There will be two minutes silence, with special remembrance for David Berger, a Polish Jew born 1915 in Przemysl. While the war was ongoing David had sent a group photo to his girlfriend, Elza Gross, who had left Poland for Palestine in 1938. His only wish was to be remembered. He wrote to Elza "If something happens, I would want there to be somebody who would remember that someone named D. Berger had once lived. David Berger was shot dead in Vilnius, Lithuania in 1941.
Please join us to remember those affected and consider the theme of "How can life go on?"
