Write Now 2017 – Saturday 18th November – Chorley, Lancashire.

Write Now, the publishing event held annually by Chorley & District Writers’ Circle, will be held on Saturday 18th November from 1pm at St Mary’s Club and Function Room, West St, Chorley, PR7 2SR.

We have two speakers already confirmed.

Laurence O’Bryan – who is an Irish social media entrepreneur and Harper Collins published author. He’s going to provide a remarkable insight into publishing and selling books.

Laurence O’Bryan has been training authors in digital marketing since 2012 and is also a published author.

Laurence’s has had three novels published by Harper Collins in the U.S., the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. These were translated and published in 10 languages. The Istanbul Puzzle, was shortlisted for Irish Crime Novel of the Year, 2012, and won the Southern California Writers Conference Grand Prize. He also self published Social Media is Dynamite For Writers, and another novel in the puzzle series.

Laurence started BooksGoSocial.com to help other authors get discovered. The service has helped promote over 4,000 international authors. His background includes twenty five years in marketing and training. Laurence is a FETAC qualified trainer, and on the committee of the Irish Writers Union. He founded the Dublin Writers Conference.

Laurence will talk about viral marketing for authors.

Wendy Jones – a celebrated crime fiction writer who will share with us her story about how she first got published and the fascinating world of being a crime fiction writer.

Wendy is the author of the bestselling DI Shona McKenzie Mysteries and the Fergus and Flora Mysteries. She is currently completing Killer’s Crypt, the 6th outing for DI Shona Mckenzie. The Haunted Broch, the second book in the Fergus and Flora Mysteries, is also near completion.

Doors open at 1pm – and by happy coincidence parking is free in the adjacent West St car park from 1pm, and the speakers kick off at 1.30pm. The event finishes at between 5pm and 5.30pm. There will be refreshments available.
