What size tour group can I expect?

We like to keep tours fairly intimate, so currently our maximum group size is 10.

Will the tour still operate in inclement weather?

The tour will still operate in most weather conditions so please come prepared with warm, waterproof clothes or adequate sun protection in summer months. If the tour needs to be cancelled (due to gale force winds or torrential rain for example) you will be notified and reimbursed beforehand.

Who will be leading the tour?

Most tours will be lead by our eccentric and charismatic Welsh tour guide, actress and writer, Lindsey-Anne. Occasionally there will be an equally wonderful substitution.

What if I need to cancel?

Please try to contact us at least 24 hours prior to your tour if you need to cancel and we will offer you a full refund or an alternative date. For cancellations within 24 hours, only alternative dates will be offered.

How long does the tour take?

The tour lasts between 2.5 to 3 hours and will depend on the size and requirements of each group.

How far will we walk?

The distance of the entire tour is around 2 miles or 3.2 km, with a 10 to 15 minute walk between each stop on average. There is an opportunity to pause midway through for refreshments and a toilet break for those who wish.

May I come in costume?

You certainly may! We will be looking at Writers and Rebels from the late 17th Century to the modern day, so the options are endless. Likewise, if you are happier in your old jeans and a jumper, then that's great with us too!

What age is the tour suitable for?

The tour is most suitable for ages 12+

What languages is the tour available in?

At present the tour is only available in English.

When should I arrive at the start point?

Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes before the start of your tour to ensure we can check everyone in and start on time.

What is included in the price?

Only the tour is included in the ticket price, it does not include entry to any attractions (such as the Charles Dickens Museum), or any refreshments.
