Writing Assessment Course

Building Confidence in Teacher Assessment

Assessment without levels is an opportunity to restore confidence in teacher assessment: the critical link between tracking attainment and ensuring progress.

Designed to equip you with a consistent, whole-school solution, our Oxford Primary Writing Assessment course and corresponding handbooks offer:

  • support for high-quality teacher assessment
  • guidance on moderation and standardisation
  • information on formative and summative assessment

Criteria-led Frameworks for Assessment

The Oxford Primary Writing Assessment Handbook contain criteria-led frameworks, which the Writing Assessment Course will help you to implement across your school.

Suitable for: English co-ordinators, assessment co-ordinators, senior leaders and teachers.

By the end of a course, you will be able to:

  • successfully implement and lead on assessment in your school
  • run effective moderation sessions in your school
  • accurately assess reading and writing in-line with national expectations
