Writing Drama; Here and Now Workshop
Event Information
About this Event
How do you capture the liveness of modern life whilst staying inside? How can you develop an idea into a play which can be performed in the future? What makes writing for the stage different to writing for books or the screen?
We will be demystifying the playwriting process, using games, examples, and dialogue to start understanding existing plays and how you can develop your own skillset. There’ll be the chance to ask questions and get inspired to write something new (though you’re also welcome to bring your work-in-progress) and after the workshop you can send them your plays for feedback.
Coast to Coast were formed in 2017, and have been creating new plays all around Norwich as well as taking two productions to the Edinburgh Fringe. They love to untangle the contradictions of living in the 21st Century, exploring Climate Change, Brexit, and #MeToo onstage. Check out their Facebook page here
