Description
This course has been designed to provide participants with the basics of proposal writing. It is for staff or trustees of charitable organisations who are new to, or have limited experience in proposal writing. In the current difficult funding environment, the course will provide you with the essential skills and knowledge needed to plan and establish a case for support from funders for your organisation, and help you address sustainability issues effectively.
Contents include:
• Planning and researching a funding proposal before writing it
• Demonstrating the need for your project
• Illustrating how the project will make a difference
• Costing your project accurately
• The dos and don’ts of proposal writing.
Learning Outcomes
We expect participants to:
• Develop the confidence to produce a robust funding proposal
• Be able to present a realistic full cost project budget for funders
• Learn how to build and maintain relationships with funders
• Enjoy an interactive session in a friendly and open atmosphere.
The course is free to attend but places are limited so please complete the online booking form to reserve your place. This is a ZOOM event which will be delivered in an interactive training form involving a presentation, general discussion, exercises, and Q & A.

CLEN's mission is to strengthen the ability of voluntary and community organisations to serve their communities, and to promote the active participation of local residents in decisions which affect their lives.
CLEN has been commissioned by Walcot Foundation (WF) and Battersea Power Station Foundation (BPSF) to provide capacity building support to local voluntary sector organisations. CLEN works closely with WF facilitating a Peer Support Network for small-medium charities and community groups in Lambeth as part of its capacity building service.
