Writing for Children & Teens: A Masterclass for Black Women & Women of Colour with Author Jasmine Richards

Whether you want to publish your work, or you are looking for inspiration to start that children’s book, this inspiring workshop will give you the knowledge and confidence you need to write for young audiences. Led by acclaimed children's author and publisher, Jasmine Richards, the workshop will explore the various stages of writing for children and teens, including

- Age ranges & categories

- how to submit to agents and publishers

- choosing your topic

Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and network. This class is suitable for all levels.


Author profile:

Jasmine Richards has worked as a children's publisher and storyliner for over 15 years with roles at Penguin, Working Partners and Oxford University Press. She has published over a dozen books for children and teenagers and has visited schools across the UK to run creative writing workshops. Her most recent novel Keeper of Myths was published by Harper Collins. Jasmine is also the founder of Storymix - a children’s fiction production company that creates inclusive stories.
