Writing For Radio - Introduction - February 2015
Saturday, 27 February 2016 from 13:00 to 16:00 (GMT)
Writing For Radio
Radio is a fantastic medium for writers. It is incredibly visual, low budget and gives you the writer freedom to be very creative.
When writing for radio you literally start with nothing, no visuals - no sound so where do you start?
This one off session will introduce you to the principles of strong active dialogue, characters that not only speak to us but let us inside their worlds and techniques to consider.
The sessions will get you fired up and ready to approach writing your own scripts.
It's a workshop so there will be plenty of writing exercises and it's a great chance to meet other local writers.
When & Where
Get to the core of your stories.
Scriptwriting North has worked with 100's of new, emerging and experienced writers. Our courses cover TV, Film and Radio.

Writing can be a lonely endevour and our sessions are designed not only to offer you inspiration, practical approaches and to break down the theory but we offer a space for writers to come together to be motivated, challenged and importantly to share ideas and to laugh.
Whether you're looking to write for the big screen, to build a portfolio of work or just for fun, the sessions will work for you.
Courses take place in Manchester City Centre and through Webinar sessions.
The programmes range from 6 week introductory evening courses, 1 day intensive workshops, ongoing weekly writing groups, a script reading service. and bespoke 1-2-1 online sessions.
