In this taster Writing for Wellbeing workshop you will explore ways in which the practice of writing creatively can have a positive impact on mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Led by local poet, writer and ArtfulScribe founding director Matt West, the session will introduce exploring poems and prose focusing on the Eight Pillars of Joy and Happiness (perspective, humour, acceptance, compassion, forgiveness, humility, gratitude, and generosity) and we'll see how to welcome more of these positives into our lives through prompts and exercises suitable for anyone to follow. We’ll connect with one-another through optional sharing of our responses in a kind and supportive environment welcoming of all.
Suitable for all - including those who don’t think of themselves as writers (yet).
