Writing for Wellbeing

Overview

A nurturing, safe space where you can tune into yourself and explore all that you are through writing

Have you ever felt that you had more to say? Or maybe you have so many creative ideas bubbling inside but don't know how to turn them into something tangible? Or maybe you simply find writing cathartic and want to reduce your stress levels and support your mental health.

Well welcome to writing for wellbeing!

“Writing is medicine. It is an appropriate antidote to injury. It is an appropriate companion for any difficult change.” - Julia Cameron

❤️‍🩹 Getting our ideas out of our head and on to paper (or even computer) can help us to better connect with ourselves and our creativity. It can open us up to be able to explore our ideas, our hopes and even our dreams. It can also bring us joy.

If this resonates with you, then come and join us for this restorative and (also fun) class where we:

✅ Explore our ideas, thoughts and emotions

✅ Get playful and creative in order to know ourselves more

✅ Express those words, dreams and feelings that have been lurking around inside

✅ Release tension, relax and develop a greater sense of calm

✅ Gain confidence in our self-expression

You don’t have to share or read out your work, but there will be the opportunity for those who want to.

To maintain the safety, integrity and simplicity of the group our numbers will remain small with no more than 8-10 participants.

*Please note that you don’t have to be an accomplished writer to attend. This is a non-academic course and much more about you tuning in, connecting to yourself and others and expressing yourself on the page.

One of our group said: 'Writing for Wellbeing' is a workshop where you take time for yourself in a safe space. Although I have shared my writing with the group, it is unnecessary to do so.

As a result of attending, I have formed new relationships, and I get to have two hours for me and only me. As a result, I feel refreshed and uplifted'.

Felicia is a Nutritionist and Stress Management Trainer with a passion for writing and self-exploration and development. She is also a regular writer for a number of health and wellbeing magazines.
