About this event

Get a deeper understanding of how writing skills build and develop throughout Key Stage 2 and their relationship with reading and language development. Gain strategies for supporting learners who are struggling with writing. Ideal for all Key Stage 2 classroom teachers and Primary literacy leads.

Designed and delivered by our expert consultants, this session is ideal for teachers, SENCos and higher-level teaching assistants who work directly with learners with literacy difficulties, dyslexia and/or SEND. We also recommend it to senior leaders looking to implement inclusive practice across their workforce.

  • Early writing requirements: understanding the different skills needed for early writing development.
  • Barriers to writing development: identifying the challenges faced by learners with literacy difficulties, dyslexia and/or SEND.
  • Strategies, frameworks and tools: discussing and reviewing a range of strategies for supporting learners with barriers to writing.
