Oak Retreat – Sunday 21st September Thorncombe Woods, Dorchester DT2 8QH

We’ll be listening to the healing messages of nature with forest bathing, writing, and a little sound healing. You don’t need any writing experience, it’s time to slow down, get inspired and spend time with lovely people.Come and join me for writing in the wild:

Listen to the trees and the whispers of these ancient woodlands as we tune in to who we really are and get inspired to write and create. These are the woods that inspired Thomas Hardy to write his poetry and stories. All welcome - you do not need to be a writer for this workshop.

We’ll walk a short way into the woods and spend time soothing and reconnecting our senses, collecting ingredients for guided writing, before responding to what we feel and hear.

After a sharing circle and healing sounds, we’ll return to the café for a delicious lunch.

The afternoon session will see us walking further through the forest, standing with the trees and birdsong, receiving angelic sound healing, and getting creative.

You’ll leave the session feeling heard, seen and inspired.

What to Bring:

A notebook and pen for writing. Wear walking boots or wellies, and be mindful of the weather – bring a warm, rainproof coat.

You may also want something dry to sit on – a plastic bag or small stool that you can carry.

Lunch – you are welcome to bring your own picnic or you can buy delicious food and drinks in the woodland café.

Parking is available in the public car park at the woods. There are toilets at the visitor centre, by the café.
