Grant fundraising is a competitive business, with most funders receiving far more applications than they can fund. This session will show you how you can give your proposals the best chance of success. It will cover:• How to identify the trusts and foundations most likely to fund your project• How to write your proposal in a way that makes it easy for the grant manager to read, understand and ultimately fund• How to avoid the common pitfalls that hold proposals back• What to do after you get a decision to improve your chances next time
This interactive session will include an opportunity to see what it’s like on the other side of the fence, reviewing real grant proposals. Regardless of how many successful applications you’ve written, this course will make you think again about the way you present your organisation’s work to funders.
Here’s what previous SHARE course participants have said about David’s fundraising training:
David presented in a natural and lively manner. He was open, friendly and factual, and information was conveyed in a very clear way. The content of his presentation was interesting and useful and I learnt a lot. He engaged the audience and we felt able to ask questions without being intimidated by the information.
I thoroughly enjoyed the session and found the teaching to be both engaging and incredibly useful.
The entire session was really useful. I've gone from zero knowledge to lots!
