Historian Steve Hindle explores the remarkable sources surviving for the Warwickshire village of Chilvers Coton to reconstruct the career and life experience of the mason and bricklayer who built its houses, repaired its walls and paved its pathways, paying particular attention to the material culture of his working and domestic environment.
