Creative writing workshop with Sarah Hymas
Following the success of our previous writing workshop based in Sunderland Point Morecambe Bay Partnership and Sarah Hymas plan to excavate further what can be found, remembered or imagined in this atmospheric corner of MorecambeBay.
Using site-specific exercises and oral history recordings of local fishermen and women and armed with a sense of curiosity and adventure participants will be encouraged to create new work to contribute to an online pdf of stories and poems about the Bay. Write a short story, poem or piece of autobiography to contribute to the living history of our area. Open to all, whatever your writing experience. Our aim is to gather the personal and social histories behind everyday artefacts that illuminate this special area.
You are welcome to attend whether or not you attended the first workshop in 2016.
The ticket prices covers a contribution to administrative costs. Booking is essential. Please bring your own lunch. Tea and coffee is provided.
