Event description

Description

Calling any budding writers and authors! Join Lauren James to find out about how scientific research had inspired her novels. Lauren will show you how to use new scientific developments to create an engaging story. The session will include a reading from her latest novel and a Q&A session. Lauren is the Carnegie-nominated British Young Adult author of The Loneliest Girl in the Universe, The Quiet at the End of the World and The Next Together series. She started writing during secondary school English classes, because she couldn’t stop thinking about a couple who kept falling in love throughout history. She sold the rights to the novel when she was 21, whilst she was still at university.

Please book a ticket for everyone in your party for this session due to seating capacity.

Please note anyone under the age of 18 should be accompanied by an adult at all times during the festival.

Age suitability: 11+

For further information about the Lancashire Science Festival, please see the website.

All money received from tickets (minus Eventbrite booking fee) will be donated to Derian House (charity number 1005165).
