What makes a character realistic?

People are flawed. They’re made up of layers, hidden stories and knotty emotions. The best characters can be inconsistent, unpleasant and frustrating, but they feel true to life.

Bring a draft story along to this session and we’ll do a range of writing exercises designed to help you develop stronger, more true to life characters.

This workshop will be led by novelist and short story writer Amy Lord and take place on Zoom. There are a limited number of places available for those on a low income.
