About the Facilitator
Mel Pennant is a novelist and an award-winning playwright whose work has appeared in the National Archives, as well as on stage. Mel’s first novel, A Murder for Miss Hortense was published in June, the Washington Post described it as a “splendid debut mystery novel,” the New York Times described it as “top-notch”. Mel is drawn to stories that explore what’s hidden below the surface and celebrate the richness and strength of tight-knit communities. She lives in London with her family and their dog, Bleu. Mel’s is currently writing another mystery novel starring Miss Hortense and developing a further stage play.
