Writing workshops at the National Library of Scotland

A series of creative writing workshops spanning the year, and taking inspiration from our collections and exhibitions. Each workshop will be led by poet Marjorie Lotfi Gill. The workshops are open to all aspiring writers and cover all types of creative writing – prose, poetry, and memoir.

Our May workshops are on the theme of memory and remembrance.

Friday 4 May, 10am – 12 noon

Friday 18 May, 10am – 12 noon

Friday 25 May, 10am – 12 noon

The first block of three workshops will take place on Friday mornings during May. You can attend all, or any, of the workshops in the series. During these sessions, we will be exploring themes of memory and remembrance: how we wish to be remembered, and how we remember others. The first workshop will take its inspiration from the current exhibition, ‘The International Style of Muriel Spark’.
