10.30 – 11.15
Jo Theaker Head of Partnerships and Delivery at Good Boost will share the latest independent study that has been published in Musculoskeletal Care. The results are significant for those facility operators interested in the future of community health and digital rehabilitation. A few strong case studies will also be shared from those operators in Wales utilising the technology.
11.15 – 12.00
Ann Hillman – Community, Sport and Health Manager at GLL will present the GLL Escape Pain collaborative programme with colleagues from the NHS, which led to them winning the Best Collaborative Initiative at the 2025 WSA Sports Industry Awards. Ann and NHS colleagues will discuss how the programme was first established and what is now done to maintain and ensure the programmes sustainability.
12.00 – 13.00
WSA Legal Partner Hugh James will discuss the impact of existing policies in relation to access to changing rooms and other shared spaces in light of the Supreme Court’s decision on the definition of sex within the Equality Act 2010. Hugh James colleagues will cover whether organisations should change policies in advance of updated Equality and Human Rights Commission guidance and how best to balance the rights of all sport participants.
The event will close with a networking lunch with colleagues from the WSA Facilities Community and the WSA Safeguarding Community 13.00-14.00
