Dr Jacquelyn Fox - Head of Sustainability at ISG
was the appointed House Builders Federation (HBF) representative on the Government steering committee ‘working towards zero carbon’ and Sustainable developments. CEng. FCIBSE. MIMechE, accomplished a PhD within the field of the Built Environment whilst working as Head of Group Sustainability for one of the UK’s largest developers Barratt Developments Plc. started her career as a Mechanical Engineer and has accumulated extensive experience over many years within the field of building physics. Her career to date includes a significant period of time spent overseas in the Middle East working on multimillion dollar projects in the area of Air Conditioning and ventilation systems.
Hero Bennett - Max Fordham Sustainability Consultant
Hero Bennett has spent the last 5 years working closely with architects and clients to explore and deliver their sustainability aspirations on a range of projects from masterplans to schools. Recent projects include the Southbank Centre and the latest LSE development with Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. Her particular passions is in housing, regeneration and social sustainability.
Hero’s background is in Physics and later Fuel Cell Development before joining the services engineering consultancy Max Fordham in 2008. She also has a Masters in Engineering for Sustainable Development from Cambridge.
Olivia Preston - Environmental Risk Manager - BBC
Olivia has spent over 10 years working in environmental management. Her career began regulating legislation at prominent government agencies including Defra and the Environment Agency where she was at the front line of environmental enforcement. A move into strategy helped Bath Spa University achieve the prestigious 'ecocampus' award through developing and auditing their EMS, and managing the travel and communication plans. Currently Environment Risk Manager at the BBC, she is at the forefront of finding innovative ways to make the BBC’s diverse property portfolio more sustainable, developing business cases and analysing data, as well as managing stakeholders and ensuring compliance.
