About this event

This 2-hour session is for movers, musicians, visual artists and creatives with practices that go beyond these labels. It will be led by Company Concentric’s co-directors (dance artist Yanaëlle Ritter and pianist Mikaela Livadiotis), who have been leading cross-disciplinary improvisation jams and community movement sessions together since 2020.

In this WTF Thursday event, you will get a taste of the company’s newly designed Playmode Cards, a set of 51 prompts for creative activities.

The session will start with a check in and warm up, flowing into short improvisation sets.

Using different Playmode cards as prompts, you will explore improvisation tasks by playing music, singing, moving, drawing and/or writing, then connect with others in the group and notice any overlap and differences between your creative responses.

The session will end with time for reflection and discussion of things you might want to explore further in your practice.
