WWOP’s Main Objectives
To raise women and girls from aged 13-25 to become leaders
To host yearly events to share women's stories and network young entrepreneurs
To build a centre in Nigeria, Cameroon and other developing countries by 2020
A community where one can feel safe, empowered and grow! A platform whereby you can voice your opinions and be heard! A nation that can be touched by your story and grow! A place that through your brokenness, we find strength! Women must locate their purpose! We must change the world's definition of us as being unfit and make a difference! We will educate our young and show them that there is hope and that we too can innovate a new social change!
We must change what the world says of us and how statistics show that, “we account for only 5% of the world's CEO's of Fortune 500 and 1000.” It is time we come out of obscurity and take our place as leaders! We can do anything we set our minds to do! Fear of never being good enough or inadequate is no longer our lord! We will use our pain and scars to mould a united world!
We are Wounded Women Who Have Obtained Power
For how long will you take a seat as a passenger? Do you know you can unlock the potential within you to become drivers of your vehicle? Do not let external changes in our environment toss you to and fro rather, take ownership of your future! Your history does not dictate your future!
The Event Theme:
Who am I? (How has my wounds moulded me and carved me into who I am today?)
Programme of Event
The day will consist of 5-8 speakers sharing their story and women who started their ministry or businesses through their wounds. Moreover the day will include a vary of performances from dancers, singers, poets and actors. I hope for 7 - 10 young business owners to set up their stalls around the venue, to enable their business to generate awareness and to hopefully display their work.
