Description
Under the West Yorkshire Low Pay Charter Councils agreed to improve future decision by considering low pay/poverty like a protected characteristic and to give due regard to this in relation to employment policy and practice. The session will focus on why this can improve fairness and engagement – but also allow us to collectively look at solving live issues e.g.
1. a. Improving the skills, pay and job of agency workers
2. b. Pensionsand exit payments- fair deals low paid staff
3. c. Recruiting for inclusion -supporting priority groups to find work
4. d. Raising confidence to learn and overcoming a digital divide
5. e. Wellbeing at the frontline - designing and doing this better
