Free Finance Forum For Calderdale Groups

About this Event

If you are involved in organising the finances in your organisation (as a volunteer or a paid worker) we’re guessing you will have had a tough couple of months….

COVID-19 and lockdown may have meant an increase in demand for your charity’s services, or having to deal with closing your premises entirely. You may have been furloughing staff, negotiating rent, applying for emergency funding, looking at the implications for cashflow, and working out how you get cheques signed if your trustees are all shielding?

If you’d like a chance to share some of your experiences over the last few months, as well as discuss any current issues or problems, you are very welcome to join us.

Hosted over Zoom (https://zoom.us/join) the Forum will be led by WYCAS’ Chief Executive, Amanda Peters, with Helen Galvin, Community Accountant for Calderdale. Log in information will be emailed to you one week prior to the event.

Our Finance Forums are usually held every few months and the topics are decided by you, (previous requests have been GiftAid, how to report to trustees, recruiting finance volunteers etc).

It’s a chance to share some good practice, and useful tips, as well as sometimes sharing the woes of being the solitary finance person in your organisation! For this next meeting, we’re going to keep it to a more general discussion but, if you do have anything specific that you want to raise, please let us know via email at info@wycas.org.uk.
