Cost: Free for West Yorkshire community groups and organisations (Leeds, Bradford, Calderdale, Wakefield and Kirklees only).

As a charity you are required to prepare accounts that are compliant with the charity SORP and, if you are a company, your accounts must be compliant with Companies Act legislation.

This course is designed to help you be ready for the production of your organisation’s annual accounts and ensure you have the right information available for your accountant/independent examiner. This course could save you money and stress!


Learning Outcomes

The course will cover:

  • When do you need to start planning
  • What information do you need to have available
  • What should you include in the Trustees Report
  • Explanation of annual accounts terminology e.g. related party transactions.

Additionally the course will review a sample of accounts to allow you to understand the key issues you should be looking for when reviewing your accounts.

Suitable For

The session is aimed at staff who are responsible for preparing annual accounts or who have responsibility for liaising with accountants/independent examiners.
