About this event

Science & Tech • Other

Join us in our home city of York for an XR Network+ roadshow with a difference!

The event marks the mid-point of our five year project and a milestone at which to showcase some of the innovative outputs emerging from more than 20 XR Network+ research and development collaborations.

Meet project leads and technicians from universities across the UK, foster new connections and learn about some of the tools and workflows developed as part of the collaborations, via demos and exhibitions.

Hear about new research and funding opportunities, and participate in discussions to inform plans for the next phase of XR Network+ as we focus on the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on research, development and innovation in Virtual Production (VP) technologies.

Our two keynote speakers, Julian Parker, Research Scientist and Developer at Stability AI and Dr Angus Finney, Fellow and Coach at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, will share insights on AI technologies, ethics and creative practice.

The event will also feature a panel of experts from across policymaking, funding, higher education and the creative industries who will respond to provocations from XR Network+ research findings and questions from attendees.
