About this Event

On 5th March, XRLO will take place at Tate Modern in the Tate Exchange as part of Uni to Unicorns with Digital Maker Collective and UAL.

Special thanks go to Bluegfx, Blend Media and Immerse UK for sponsoring the event!

What is XRLO?

Extended Realities London (XRLO) is a London meetup that brings together enthusiasts, industry professionals, and leaders in their fields, to share their passion for all things XR (eXtended realities).

Hosted in a variety of London locations, the regular event has been supported by some of the biggest names in the VR, AR and MR world, including Epic Games, Microsoft, Immerse UK, Bluegfx, and HP.

Those who attend XRLO will get early access to the latest hardware, the chance to experience cutting-edge immersive content, plus the opportunity to network with the people at the forefront of these new mediums.

REWIND

Originally activated in LA during Halloween using holoride technology and in partnership with Universal Pictures, this experience has been specially adapted for XRLO. Once inside the experience, you’ll be joined by The Bride of Frankenstein as you embark on a critical mission, but your quest will be thwarted by interactive monsters and obstacles. Try it if you dare.

Dimension Studios

The National Theatre’s musical VR experience All Kinds of Limbo transports audiences into a vibrant theatrical world inspired by the influence of West Indian culture on the UK music scene. Volumetrically-captured performances by musicians alongside the NuShape Orchestra, bring to life an immersive musical journey that collapses the boundaries between theatre and virtual reality.

Happy Finish

SkySlide is a premium VR slide designed for the most iconic buildings on the planet. At XRLO, the experience created for The View From The Shard will be showcased. With virtual speeds of 100mph, users feel like they are sliding around the outside of The Shard on a giant slide high above London. The bespoke motion platform mimics the virtual twists and turns of a slide to create a multi-sensory experience.

RiVR

RiVR Investigate is a photorealistic and interactive learning platform for fire investigation level 1. This library of training assets is allowing firefighters all around the world to train in safe, consistent and repeatable conditions. The full Investigate package will be available to experience at XRLO.

Bramble Media

EarthSongs is a celebration of wild soundscapes that uses the affordances of spatial computing and immersive technology to enthral, enlighten and inspire a personal connection with nature in a new and intuitive way whilst gently encouraging players to consider our disconnect with the natural world.

Future Visual

At Future Visual our mission is to empower our customers using immersive technology to access scenarios and situations that are currently physically impossible, needlessly expensive or inefficient to build in real life.
