Who? This event is open to anyone working on, or interested in being involved in, supporting multi-level growth through academic–policy collaborations across Yorkshire and the Humber.

The Yorkshire and Humber Policy Engagement and Research Network (Y-PERN) 2025 Conference will bring together the region’s universities, combined and local authorities, public sector, business, and voluntary and community organisations to discuss how we can collaborate to create a more prosperous, inclusive and sustainable places and communities.

Join us to discuss how to establish practical, evidence-based policy solutions that can help deliver multi-level growth across local, regional and national government, resulting in fairer, greener, and healthier futures.

A number of the region’s most influential speakers, researchers and leaders will take part in an exciting range of panel discussions, keynote speeches and interactive workshops to explore innovative policy solutions and actionable strategies to support long-term growth, inclusive collaboration, and resilience across Yorkshire. There will also be opportunities to connect and network with a wide range of organisations and people invested in policymaking across the region.

Y-PERN is a pioneering collaborative partnership between Yorkshire and the Humber’s 12 universities and the region’s local and combined authorities supporting academic policy collaboration across the region. Y-PERN's core team of policy fellows are spread across the four sub-regions, working with a diverse range of partners to develop innovative research, knowledge and brokerage infrastructure, systems, and capacity to create tangible solutions to key policy challenges.
