Y6 teachers' Conference: Lessons Learned from the Key Stage 2 Assessments

Led by Learning Unlimited SLEs Alice O'Neill and Louise Clements,
The morning will
- Look at the interim assessment framework requirements.
- Give examples of the national standard across Reading, Writing and Maths from 2015-16.
- Look at ways children can improve their accuracy and success by using relational understanding to solve reasoning problems in maths.
- Give examples of the different methods children used to answer the reasoning questions on last year’s maths papers.
-Ways to expose children to classic texts in preparation for the reading test
-Look at the framework for the grammar and punctuation text and how these skills can be taught in context
-List of SATs question types/ question stems from previous Reading tests
Coffee and registration from 9:00, the event will begin at 9:30
