Ova Ceren is the creator behind the highly popular BookTok and Instagram channels @excusemyreading, where she shares her love for books, cosy views of her garden library and adventures from her daily life. Half woman, half book, she was born and bred in Izmir, Turkey and now lives in Cambridge, UK. Ova never forgets a heartbreak. She writes to put the pieces back together and wishes her magical stories would give people hope. Her new novel The Book of Heartbreak is a gorgeous romantasy filled with angels and curses, which will break your heart and mend it again. Perfect for fans of Laini Taylor and Stephanie Garber.

Bex Hogan has always loved fantasy and faery tales, particularly the dangerous and unsettling ones which left her feeling thrilled and scared. Writing her stories down was a natural progression and she enjoys sharing her time between the real world and escaping to her imagination. A Cornish girl at heart, Bex now lives in Cambridgeshire with her family. She has previously published the Isles of Storm and Sorrow trilogy and Black Heat with Hachette. Owl King is the second faery tale in the Faery Realms series with Zephyr, the first of which Nettle is out in paperback in July 2025. Owl King is a dark and dreamy tale of love, deception, and survival. Long ago, kings and queens of the faery realms exchanged talismans with one another to maintain stability in their world.

Holly Race is a writer and script editor, and has worked for companies including Working Title Films, Aardman Animations and Red Planet Pictures. She is a Faber Academy graduate, and her YA urban fantasy trilogy, MIDNIGHT'S TWINS, A GATHERING MIDNIGHT and A MIDNIGHT DARK AND GOLDEN was published by Hot Key Books (2020-22). She lives in Cambridge. Her adult debut novel Six Wild Crowns delivers a heart-pounding romantasy saga revolving around the famed six Tudor queens, mixing history with magic and putting a sultry, sapphic and utterly transformative spin on the wives of Henry VIII.
