Step into the shadows this Halloween, for an unearthly evening of YA Romantasy with authors Rosie Talbot, Ova Ceren, and Marisa Linton. Prepare to be lured by witches, entangled in dark curses, and swept into the ancient magic of celtic folklore if you dare. Book signing to follow.
Rosie Talbot
A lover of dark and tightly woven stories, Rosie (she/her) is inspired by creepy things in junk shops, haunted houses and strange magic. By day she works as a bookseller and booktoker (@merrowchild). By night, she spends time sewing big skirts with huge pockets and wondering why her family has a suspiciously large collection of cauldrons. She currently resides in a mysterious pocket of the Sussex countryside with her very patient spouse and two cats called Tinkerfluff and Captain Haddock.
Ova Ceren
Ova Ceren is the creator behind the highly popular BookTok and Instagram channels @excusemyreading, where she shares her love for books, cosy views of her garden library and adventures from her daily life. Half woman, half book, she was born and bred in Izmir, Turkey and now lives in Cambridge, UK. Ova never forgets a heartbreak. She writes to put the pieces back together and wishes her magical stories would give people hope.
Marisa Linton
Marisa inhabits two writing worlds. In one she’s a professor of history, a historical consultant for television and the author of several history books on the French Revolution. In her other world she’s writing fantasy for young adults that draws on her love for ancient Celtic Britain and folklore and her belief in magic, ghost stories and the supernatural. Born in Barnes, in south-west London, into an Italian/English family, she has lived for many years in Brighton where she has raised her three children.
