Description

An Evening for New Members

The evening will begin with a short presentation on the history, achievements and current work of the Trust. You will learn about the activities of our planning, projects, education and events committees as well as the jewel in our crown, Fairfax House.

You will then have the opportunity to pass through the house accompanied by one of our curators to visit the “Made in York” exhibition which contains the exquisite carving by Grinling Gibbons, executed in York while he was still an apprentice around 1668, the King David Panel.

The evening will conclude with an opportunity to meet fellow new members and trustees to discuss the work of the Trust, and for those who may be interested, volunteering opportunities, whilst enjoying a soft drink or glass of wine.
