This is set to be a fantastic event as the school has made a huge commitment to ensure your child is equipped with the highest quality resources. Not only will students have the necessary resources but parents will be guided in how to support their child throughout this important year.
Only parents/carers who attend this evening with their child will be provided with these free resources.
Due to the high number of students and parents wanting to attend this evening to support their child in achieving the best grades possible, it is a ticketed event. Each student can request a maximum of three tickets for themselves and two family members to join them on the evening.
Due to the current circumstances and to ensure we reduce the risk of covid 19, parents will need to book an hour time slot between 5pm and 8pm.
Your options will be:
5pm-6pm
6pm-7pm
7pm-8pm.
There will be limited number of tickets available for each time slot and they will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.
During the evening we will give you an overview of the upcoming year. This will give you an outline of your son/daughter’s learning and exam route. We will highlight important dates and deadlines for coursework and exams and give a brief outline of the possible routes for our pupils after their time at St Michael’s. After this short presentation, you will have the opportunity to look at the different stalls at our fair. These have been designed to help parents to support their child through this highly stressful year. The fair will include stalls that cover the following areas:
1. Stress, anxiety and sleep
2. Question Level Analysis
3. Nutrition and exercise
4. Revision timetables
5. Revision techniques
6. Sixth Forms, College, Universities and Apprenticeships
7. Pastoral support
8. Parental support
9. Types of learners
