Year 13 Study Skills and Sixth Form Expectations Seminar
Overview
We are mindful what a crucial year this is for Year 13 students, and they will have felt this keenly during the PPEs. Here at Lutterworth Sixth, we support students with a variety of systems designed to improve students’ ability to learn independently, and our expectations, including those of attendance and conduct, reflect what we know is required for successful outcomes. We know you will want to support your child to achieve their potential but may be unsure of how these systems operate or the best way to do this.
In light of this, and in response to the completion of the recent PPEs, we will be holding a parent seminar on Monday 3rd November from 6.00 – 7.00pm in the Main Hall at the College to share important information about Sixth Form study skills and expectations. This will include guidance on how students can make the most of the systems in place to excel as independent learners, as well as discussing the expectations of students, their approach to study and the importance placed on attendance, as they enter these crucial final months. We strongly encourage all Year 13 parents to attend this important evening and students are very welcome to attend as well.
