Event description

Description

Booking Information: please read before registering

This free half day event for Year 6 aims to help students develop their mathematical curiosity and resilience, by working through a series of rich mathematical problems. Students will be able to enjoy three curriculum-based workshops led by the NRICH team.

All workshops are highly interactive and held in the Faculty of Mathematics' lecture theatres and teaching rooms.

Schools are welcome to bring up to a maximum of 10 students, subject to availability of places, plus accompanying teachers.

This event is open to school groups from state-maintained schools/academies only, and places must be pre-booked.

Important information: please read before booking

  • This registration form is for school groups only. All groups must be accompanied by at least one supervising teacher.
  • Teachers: please note that all bookings must be submitted by the school/college. Please do not ask students to register individually.
  • Cancellation policy: Thanks to generous funding by the Templeton Foundation , the day is free to attend. However, places are limited, and because of the highly interactive nature of the day, late changes to numbers cause significant disruption to the event. If bookings are cancelled after 5pm on Thursday 13 June 2019, or schools do not attend on the day, we will therefore charge at our discretion a cancellation fee of £20 per cancelled student place.
  • The talks and workshops may be filmed or photographed. Photographs and films may be published, transmitted or broadcast in official University of Cambridge publications and in University publicity materials, including University and University-affiliated websites and may be circulated to the press and other broadcast media and Internet websites for publication, transmission or broadcast. If this is problematic please contact us in advance.
