Description

Length: 45 minutes performance plus 30 minute workshop
The transition play focuses on promoting safe independent travel by young people on their way
to school, whether it is on foot, on bicycle or on public transport. The audience are challenged to
think for themselves and to make informed decisions when traffic is heavy and when there are
lots of distractions to deal with.
In the course of the performance and the follow up workshop, young people learn and
experience valuable information about road safety on their way to and from school. In
particular:
• Catching and alighting from buses.
• Finding the safest place to cross and crossing safely.
• Making decisions for yourself regardless of peer group pressure.

actively working out their choices.

Show times are flexible and can be tailored according to each school's needs. The main requirement is for an hour set up, 1hr15 performance time and up to half an hour pack down time.
