During year 8 all students have the opportunity to choose the options subjects they will take at GCSE. By doing this in year 8 we have created time to enable our students to experience each subject in greater depth, whilst ensuring that students feel more in control of their curriculum. This prevents the feeling of ‘wasted’ time in year 9, when some students do not value all their subjects equally.
Following the options evening a member of the senior team will meet with your son/daughter, alongside yourself, if you wish to attend, to provide further advice and guidance about option choices and future pathways. These interviews are scheduled to take place during the week beginning 21st February 2022. Please could you indicate on the reply slip if you would like to attend this meeting. There will be the opportunity to sign up for an options interview during the evening on 10th February.
