YELP Buzzword: Community Management

We know, everyone and their brother is a Community Manager at the moment, just like every 20-something is a Digital Media expert. And buzzwords are great (who doesn’t love a good trend) – but what’s even better? Knowing what on earth it’s about. That’s why we’ve got Yelp Amsterdam’s Senior Community Manager Philippine Wouters in the house to tell us a little about what she does, with some snappy anecdotes thrown in for good measure.

This stuff is nothing new to Yelp – they’ve hired and trained hundreds of peeps since they launched in the US in 2004 – and because of these hot-stuff ambassadors, they’ve built and grown their brand without ever using advertising.
