About this Event:

Are you just starting out in your career? Feeling lost and lacking confidence? Maybe you’ve recently changed sector and need some new skills to develop your career or just have a desire to progress? This event is aimed at anybody who wants to progress in their career- no matter your age, role, level or industry. We will be running a day of workshops to increase your confidence and develop your transferable skills to take you to the next level in your career whether that be this year or in the next 10 years.

We will be running 4 workshops throughout the event, the 4 key topics that we will cover will be:

* Resilience- Emma Maraio

Being resilient in the workplace is important for success and progression. The key to resilience is to reduce the power negativity has over us. We’ll give you tips and strategies to help you do this.

* Negotiating- Nicola Richardson

We’ll help you understand your energy in these conversations and give you strategies to help when engaging in difficult conversations.

* Goal Setting- Gemma Sewell

Find your purpose and confidence. Get tools to set goals that are achievable, relevant and will give you more clarity both at work and at home.

* Personal Branding- Asha Pitt

Understanding the importance of your professional reputation, develop your brand whilst still being your authentic self.

Each of these workshops is lead by a different trained professional. The women running these workshops are experts in their field and have a wealth of knowledge and experience that they’re willing to share with you!

As well as the workshops there will be a strong emphasis on networking. During breaks you'll have the chance to meet like minded people and create networks that can last you throughout your career.

Not only that, we'll also be bringing you a panel discussion with 3 senior business women, you will be able to ask them about their careers, work-life balance, challenges they've faced and advice they would give! This panel is a chance for you to pick the brains of some top women in their field and is an inspirational end to the day! Confirmed for the panel is Kate Tinsley and Paula Harvey. The third member of the panel is to be confirmed!

The workshop will be roughly 9-5 with 2 workshops in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and networking through the breaks and lunch. We will then end on a high with the panel discussion.
