Event description

Description

This month we welcome JODY GORDON of THE ANIMAL WELFARE CONSULTANCY, a performing animal consultant on a number of high profile productions including the London Olympics Opening Ceremony and Danny Boyle's 'Isles of Wonder', as well as Jamie Oliver’s ‘Jamie Saves Our Bacon’ and 'Jimmy & Jamie’s Food Fight' for Channel 4, ITV's 'Touch of Frost', ITV2’s ‘Top Dog Model’ and many more television, advertising, theatre and live events.

Jody will be talking about maintaining and improving animal welfare standards in a production environment and the benefits of using an expert independent welfare advisor. Jody has an extensive knowledge on the subject, having spent nearly 20 years working for the RSPCA, developing and co-writing their ‘Guidelines for the Welfare of Performing Animals’.

We will also have time for networking, showing shorts / clips, and discussing needs for upcoming projects as usual. If you have work you would like to show please send files via WeTransfer to yorkfilmmakerscoalition@gmail.com.

Places are limited, so please make sure you order your tickets via Eventbrite.
