Join us for the YG Games Day, a mixed pairs competition designed to challenge your strength, endurance, and teamwork. This event is suitable for all fitness levels, whether you’re new to the gym or a seasoned athlete.

  • Date: Saturday 13th September
  • Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Arrive at 8:30 AM for registration, briefing, and warm-up)
  • Location: YourGym Kirkham
  • Cost: FREE
  • Format: Mixed pairs
  • Capacity: 25 pairs (50 participants)

Competition Structure

Pairs will complete three events in rotation:

  1. LIFT – Saturday 6th 🔐
  2. ENDURE – Saturday 6th 🔐
  3. METCON – Saturday 6th 🔐
  • Each pair will have 5 minutes rest between events.
  • Judges will mark scores; participants track their own scorecards.

Wave Options

Participants can choose the wave that suits them best. Each wave begins with the LIFT portion of the event:

  • Wave 1 starts at 9:00 AM
  • Wave 2 starts at 9:20 AM
  • Wave 3 starts at 9:40 AM
  • Wave 4 starts at 10:00 AM
  • Wave 5 starts at 10:20 AM
  • Wave 6 starts at 10:40 AM
  • Wave 7 starts at 11:00 AM

Note: Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your chosen wave to check in and warm up.

Q: Who can participate?

A: The event is open to all YourGym members of any fitness level. We encourage beginners and seasoned athletes alike. Participants compete in mixed pairs, so teamwork is key!

Q: Do I need a partner?

A: Yes, you need a partner to sign up. If you don’t have one, we can help pair you with another participant.

Q: How do I choose my wave?

A: When signing up, select your preferred start time. Each wave begins with the LIFT portion of the event. Waves are scheduled as follows: 9:00 AM, 9:20 AM, 9:40 AM, 10:00 AM, 10:20 AM, 10:40 AM, 11:00 AM Please arrive 30 minutes before your chosen wave to register, warm up, and attend the briefing

Q: How is the scoring done?

A: Judges at each workout will record your performance on your personal scorecard. Scores from all three events are combined for overall results.

Q: Can beginners participate?

A: Absolutely! Workouts are scalable for all fitness levels, and judges will help ensure everyone can safely complete each event.

Q: What happens if I can’t make my chosen wave?

A: We recommend arriving for your selected wave. If you miss your wave, please speak to a staff member on the day — we may be able to fit you into a later wave if space allows.
