Yin & Nidra for Deep Rest
Join Sarah for a 90-minute Yin and Yoga Nidra workshop designed to provide deep rest.
In a world where we are constantly juggling demands and responsibilities, it’s easy to overlook the need for rest and renewal. This workshop offers you a sanctuary of stillness, helping you unwind and reconnect with your inner calm.
We’ll begin with a grounding Yin Yoga practice, focusing on long-held, floor-based postures that target the deeper connective tissues. This slow, meditative practice encourages the body to release tension, bringing balance to an overstimulated nervous system. Each pose will guide you toward a state of surrender, allowing time for your body and mind to slow down.
Following Yin, we’ll transition into the deeply restorative practice of Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep (the inspiration behind the concept of non sleep deep rest - NSDR, in the modern world!). In this guided relaxation, you’ll be led into a state of conscious rest, where the body sleeps and the mind remains aware.
Yoga Nidra is a powerful tool to reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and leave you feeling nurtured and renewed.
This workshop is the perfect way to find peace and rest amidst the busyness of life.
Perfect for:
- Everyone! No experience is needed - just bring yourself and a willingness to unwind.
All equipment is provided.
*Please wear warm comfortable clothes.*
About Sarah:
Initially drawn to the physical element of yoga, I started practicing Vinyasa yoga. After a short while I started to recognise the non physical benefits that yoga brings. The positive energy, mental clarity and sense of calm that yoga gave me became so important that I went on to complete my 200hr Vinyasa teacher training. I’m passionate about making sure that yoga is accessible and inclusive for everyone. I’m especially keen on creating safe spaces for apprehensive yogi’s, bigger bodies and people who think they don’t fit the image of a Western Yogi. I like to teach classes to a bold soundtrack, with focus on relaxation, strength, flowing movement and body gratitude.
