About this event

Take a midweek pause with this deeply nourishing Yin Yoga class, a grounding and meditative practice that invites you to slow down, soften, and reconnect.

In Yin, poses are held for around 3-5 minutes, gently working into the fascia and connective tissues. This allows the body to release tension, improve flexibility, and create space for stillness. Yin is a beautiful complement to an active lifestyle and a powerful way to calm both body and mind.

What to expect:

  • A quiet, mindful practice designed to help you rest and restore.
  • Long-held floor-based postures supported with props.
  • Guidance and variations so the practice can meet your unique needs.
  • A sense of deep relaxation and inner calm to carry into the rest of your week.
  • All levels are welcome, no previous experience of yoga is required, and you do not need to be flexible!

Please note: this class was previously a Flow into Yin session. As we move into the shorter nights, we’ll now focus on rest and release through a full Yin practice.

“Solas” means light in Scottish Gaelic, and when spelled “Sòlas,” it also translates to comfort, contentment, and solace — a reflection of the kind of space Jane hopes to create through her teaching.

She teaches functional yoga — a practice that focuses on how movement feels in your body, rather than how it looks. Her classes encourage students to move in ways that honour their own bodies and lived experience, rather than striving for a “perfect pose.”

With this inclusive and compassionate approach, Jane believes that yoga truly is for everyone.
