Description

"Me, Myselfie and I"

"(To the righteous soul will be said:) "O soul in (complete) rest and satisfaction! Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Allah]. And enter among My [righteous] servants, And enter My Paradise." Quran 89:27-30

This Autumn's YM National Residential for 11-16 year olds has "The Self" (Naffs) at the heart of it's theme. We will aim to help our attendees learn how to navigate the modern world in which so much attention is centred
around the self. As we have recently discovered, this can lead to distress even in the strongest of human beings.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "There is no disease that Allah has created, except that He also has created its treatment." (Bukhari -5678)

Allah swt has not left us without guidance concerning this matter, Alhamdulillah! We will look at the three types of "Naffs" which Allah swt mentions in the Quran: naffs-e-ammara, naffs-e-lawwama and naffs-e-mutmainna, and discuss ways in which we can help ourselves to achieve a great sense of Psychological well being and satisfaction which was mentioned in the Quran over 1400 years ago.

As always, we aim to guide the attendees through activities, workshops, reminders and team building exercises.

The Residential price includes Meals and Beds, although attendees must bring their own bedding (pillow/sleeping bag). (Please ensure that bedding is warm and appropriate for the time of year, as some youngsters have found it cold at night.)

The youngsters can expect to have a great time during their stay through activities including a Bonfire, Entertainment and additional activities led by the Scouts Campsite.

All of our Lead Mentors are DBS Checked, and we will have all Child and Adult Safeguards in place, including a greater adult to child ratio than recommended.

Please note that transport is not included to and from the campsite, unless organised by your local YM Branch (where available).

Places are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis, and discounts are available for siblings.

A discount is available for a second and third child. Please book above accordingly.
