About this Event

Lewes Labour's annual seasonal night out this year takes the theme ' Yo-Ho-So-Socialism' expect to be entertained, inspired and engaged in near equal measure .

FEATURING

Comedian Don Biswas Don has fire in his belly letting loose a tirade of jokes from conspiracy theories to Brexit all told via a wild imagination, hilarity and exhaustive statistics! Expect observational anecdotes, a worldview on matters from Brexit to Trump and Don's experiecne of Dyspaxia for an unforgettable opening to an evening of surprises. Grime and Hip -hop Artist Boudicca P political, polemical and powerful, Boudicca P has been taking audiences across the UK by storm with her feisty fusion of Hip-Hop, R&B and Grime. Winner of the EU40 Rap Battle at ‘Democracy Alive’ Festival in the Netherlands, she performs for Youth Strike 4 Climate and Extinction Rebellion. Boudicca combines 'a warm and deeply engaging honesty with political diatribe ' (Brighton and Hove News)

Spoken Word Matt Abbott poet, educator and activist. Matt's performances range from supporting Jeremy Corbyn on the #JC4PM tour, the Calais Refugees camp and the Edinburgh Festival. Widely reckoned to be spoken word's fastest rising star his recent commission was to write, and perform the official poem for Leeds United's centenary. Plus in-between licenced bar, mulled wine and mince pies. This is a partially seated venue, if you prefer to sit back, chat with friends that's fine, if you prefer to get up, move around, shake your booty that's fine too.

Doors open from 7pm. Show starts 8pm.
