Yoga & Brunch in Brighton
Sat 8 April 2017, 09:30 – 13:00 BST
Our yoga brunch events are back for 2017 and in a beautiful new venue - The Studio on Whippingham Road.
We are really excited to be able to use this amazing new yoga space and getting back to bringing you the perfect combination of two of life's greatest things...yoga & delicious, healthy food!
I will be teaching a two hour dynamic hatha yoga class which will consist of around 1hr 15mins of posture practice leaving lots of time for pranayama (simple breathing exercises), meditation and the all important long luxurious savasana (relaxation).
All levels of experience are welcome to come a long as there will be variations of postures for everyone and no experience is needed for the pranayama & meditation.
Please bring a mat if you have one and anything else you might need to be comfortable in savasana. If you need a mat to be provided please let me know and I will make sure there is one there for you on the day.
Our yoga class will work up an appetite for a delicious, nourishing, plant-based brunch cooked by my wife Claire who runs Good Life Catering.
This time the menu will always feature lots of tasty organic, local ingredients. We source most of our veg from the wonderful Hankam Organics in Sussex . We will post photos and more details about the food on the Facebook pages in the coming weeks, so make sure to follow us at Yoga Brunch Brighton.
All food will be vegan, gluten and refined sugar free, but please let us know about any other allergies or intollerances when booking your place.
A note from Claire about her food:
'I've always loved feeding people and bringing people together to share in the enjoyment of food.
Food is pleasure but also essential nourishment for our bodies and minds and my intention is to provide tasty and nutritious food that complements the practice of yoga to leave you feeling healthy and energised.
Inspired by Ayurveda, the food will incorporate the six tastes and include a range of ingredients to produce a balanced meal.
I was introduced to Ayurvedic nutrition & cooking in 2014 when I spent a month studying at Greens Ayurveda Centre in Kerala.
I enjoy adapting recipes to create vegan and allergen free menus as I feel it allows me to be more creative in the kitchen."
