2 DAY yoga Intensive for Physiotherapists

This course is intended for physiotherapists and yoga teachers who are interested in using yoga as therapy for their clients.

You will learn how to use yoga positions in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders with the use of various props, and how to adjust the posture for each individual body type. Emphasis will be put on a position alignment with neutral position of the joints, straightening of the spine, use of props in the treatment and connection between movement and breath.

In this course, you will learn basic breathing techniques for understanding of the state of mind, basics of the yoga philosophy and find out about some meditation techniques for a healthy and happy mind. Enjoy our philosophy discussions and anatomy talks, how alignment and yoga affects the body, breath and mind and in turn create healing for the body.

We are also providing a chance for those who want to go into the deeper understanding of Yoga Breathing and How to create Healing environment for Physical and Psychological problems with breathing and meditation.

In this course you will learn:

  1. Benefits of each category of yoga postures

  2. Warming up exercises- Pawanmuktasana Series

  3. In depth practicals of 26 Yoga postures and their therapeutic effects

  4. Kapalabhati- Shining Breath

  5. Bhramri Pranayama- Humming bee

  6. Bhandas (Jalandhara Bhandha, Moola Bhanda, Uddiyana Bhanda)

  7. Ashwini Mudra

  8. Sutras of Patanjali

  9. Laughing Meditation


Alignment of joints and muscles Is Everything in Yoga Postures.

When the eight major load bearing joints of body (two shoulders, two hips, two knees, two ankles) are not rightly placed, and when the body deviates from it’s symmetrical and structural alignment (balanced left to right, balanced front to back) we experience pain and physical limitation.


  1. We will learn with yoga postures and exercises how to create balance so that tissues can repair or to prevent injury

  2. Understanding of aligning your joints to reduce grinding and wearing down of the joints and to allow healing to begin.

  3. Learn how to Improve strength and stamina and body/mind coordination

  4. Learn yoga as Injury healing and prevention



This course will be led by world renowned Indian Yoga Teacher Deep Kumar. Deep, has a way of creating beauty everywhere he goes, he never approaches people as a teacher but as a student himself, sharing his passion for the body, yoga, breath, blissfulness and healing. He has many many years of extensive experience and knowledge under his belt, working with many cancer patients, physiotherapists, doctors and training over 1000 yoga teachers.

Course Times will be 10am-5pm both Monday and Tuesday.
