About this event
Located in the heart of Bath, this special two-hour yoga workshop takes place in the tranquil and historic setting of The Chapel at The Gainsborough Bath Spa — the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning focused on wellness and self-care.
Suitable for all levels, this immersive session is led by expert teachers Bex Bridgford and Lana King. Together, they offer a beautifully rounded experience, beginning with grounding QiGong and breathwork, followed by a dynamic yet accessible blend of Yang and Yin yoga. The session concludes with the serene tones of crystal singing bowls and a deeply restful guided sleep meditation, designed to leave you feeling balanced, calm, and restored.
We’re also thrilled to introduce a powerful new element to this workshop: Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), also known as “tapping.” EFT is a gentle yet effective tool for emotional release. By tapping on specific acupressure points while focusing on thoughts, emotions, or physical tension, EFT helps to clear emotional blocks, calm the nervous system, and enhance your ability to receive healing.
This new addition will deepen the entire experience — allowing your body and mind to relax more fully and absorb the powerful vibrations of the sound healing more effectively. You’ll leave feeling lighter, more grounded, and deeply nourished.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to unwind and reset in one of Bath’s most peaceful and inspiring spaces. Come and tap into a new level of wellbeing — we can’t wait to welcome you!

The Gainsborough Bath Spa
The Gainsborough Bath Spa occupies two Grade II Listed buildings with distinguished Georgian and Victorian façades in the heart of the World Heritage Site. Named after the artist, Sir Thomas Gainsborough, the luxury hotel is centred around and, uniquely in the UK, has the exclusive privilege of having access to the natural thermal, mineral-rich waters.
- 1730 – The original building resided Dr Charles Bave, an early proposer of the Bath General Hospital.
- 1747 – 1786 – The Lower Borough Walls of the building became the Casualty Hospital and Bath City Infirmary and Dispensary
- 1826 – The two establishments are combined by architect John Pitch, to become the United Hospital, with an entrance on Beau Street. A small chapel is designed by G.P. Manners
- 1863 – 1864 – The original building is extended and the Albert Wing was added by architect J. E. Gill. The hospital is granted the ‘Royal’ prefix and buildings on Lower Borough Walls, including the Medical Officers Residence (The Old House), the ‘Dissecting Room’, and the ‘Dead House’ are connected by a walkway to the Royal United Hospital (RUH)
- 1932 – A new RUH is opened in Coombe Park, Bath to replace the buildings on Lower Borough Walls. Bath Technical College occupies the Beau Street buildings until 2005.
- 2006 – Planning permission is sought for a new 97-bedroom Spa Hotel by the Bath Hotel and Spa Company - a joint venture of the Trevor Osbourne Property Group and CP Holdings Ltd. The development is designed to restore another aspect of Bath’s Spa Culture in the heart of the City’s historic Spa Quarter. The Hotel is named after Sir Thomas Gainsborough, the famed portrait and landscape artist who lived in Bath between 1759 and 1774.
